From Monday 12th July RTITB will be issuing eCards instead of the physical ID cards that are usually provided. This is a great way to cut the time it takes to get cards out to you and to reduce the environmental impact of card production. The new eCards can be downloaded and stored in Apple Wallet (Apple smartphones) or Google Pay (Android smartphones) providing you supply your email address when training with us.
Don’t worry, your e-card will carry the same weight as the traditional physical cards that you might be familiar with, and employers’ will still be able to read basic information about your qualifications straight from the screen as well as scan a QR code for more information accessed straight from the RTITB national database. Paper certificates will also still be provided.
To ensure data security and give you assurance a unique verification code is sent to your designated email address so that only you can download your eCard from the web link we will provide you with. Therefor it is important to give your email address when filling in your personal details on the exam paperwork.
Information on your eCard will include:
- Your photo (passport style)
- Your name
- Your RTITB registration number
- RTITB logo
- Accrediting Bodies Association for Workplace Transport (ABA) logo
- ABA truck code (where applicable)
- Our company name and website address
- Course title and QR code to easily verify you as the operator
