About CTS Training & Consultancy Ltd
With vast experience as drivers and transport managers in the transport industry our trainers are experienced in all aspects of training and consultancy we undertake. We believe that everyone can benefit from our training, from someone looking for a change of career to a company with a fleet of vehicles wanting to minimise damage and costs and optimise efficiency.
As a haulage company we struggled to find a good local training company who understood our needs with our experience, we don’t just train for the “perfect day” scenarios but for the “everyday scenarios”- our trainers understand the stresses of everyday because they have themselves experienced them. With competitive rates we have in the past operated across the country to supply our training courses with a number of companies that have been with us since the start.
Our trainers are RTITB, SQA & NLTC accredited on various courses and our training centre at Terrington St John is RTITB accreditated so training can be held on our premises or your own.
Meet the Team
Craig Cooper, Director
Having been involved in the transport industry since I was a toddler, I grew up working and travelling everywhere as a kid. As soon as I turned 18, I got my HGV Licence. I achieved my instructor’s certificate at 19 and our training division was founded. Since then, I have achieved my DGSA and Transport Manger CPC Certificates with refresher courses to ensure my knowledge is all up to date.
Outside of work I am a passionate Formula 1 fan and regular visitor to Silverstone!
Melissa Craske, Accounts
I’ve been working in the haulage industry for 7 years full time, but before that, while studying, I worked on the weekends to help with compliance and accounts. Having a family in haulage I never got away from the passion for the transport industry. I love the team at Coopers, we always work together to help the company continuously grow while helping customers to thrive in their business.
Work aside, I am a mum and enjoy long walks with my husband, daughters and beagle.
Vicki Wood, Training Department Manager
I have worked within the haulage industry and customer service for 20 years doing a wide range of roles from the distribution side through to accounts. I really enjoy my role here at CTS, because it’s very varied and no day is the same. I also love working for a family run business, it’s great to be part of such a supportive team and I’m really looking forward to watching and helping it to grow.
In my spare time I love to visit and experience new places. I also love spending time with my Son, my family and taking my dog Wilfred on nice long walks.
Transportation
Operating in the heart of the Fens we can offer a very variable selection of transport modes including tankers, curtains, flats, hi-ab and working with our sister company B&A Cooper we can distribute both non-hazard and hazardous materials. We now offer full metering systems for non-hazardous products ranging from 26 tonne gross vehicles to 44 tonne gross vehicles.
Between the companies we have over 30 years experience from the early days of carting farm produce we soon diversified into tanks and have grown steadily in this specialist area. To support our vehicles and third parties, we run a fully-fledged workshop with technicians who were trained by main dealer Volvo and specialise in the diagnostic system on all modern trucks, see workshop on our website for more information.
To support our drivers and due to the fact that we were having difficulty in this area to find a competitive training company for the specialised training we require we decided to set up our own training centre and offer a full range of RTITB and SQA accredited courses including driver CPC, ADR, first aid for ourselves and third parties, for further details see training on our website for more information.
