Are you an aspiring transport manager?
If the answer is yes, then you will need a Transport Manager CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence); a level 3 qualification which will develop your road haulage transport management skills. It is a requirement for holding an O-licence, operating HGVs in Great Britain, and it doesn’t expire, meaning that you will be considered professionally competent for life. You will learn everything necessary for you to be an efficient transport manager, such as overseeing transport operations, managing staff members and ensuring the legal requirements for road haulage are met.
What is the CPC course for Transport Managers?
The Transport Manager CPC is a Level 3 qualification which consists of two exams: a multiple-choice exam and a case study. During your course with us here at CTS Training and Consultancy you will first learn all the modules giving you sound knowledge to undertake the first of the two exams. The second part of the course will focus on the long answer case study questions that form the second exam.
How long does it take to complete the Transport Manager CPC?
Our course runs across 11 days, followed by the exam day. The days are spread out across two to three weeks, to allow you time to digest the course content and be best prepared for the exams.
How much does a Transport Manager CPC cost?
Our course costs £1145 + VAT, and the exams cost £205 (no VAT). This includes the 10 day course with our expert tutor, 1 day of revision with the tutor on hand to support, EOS training materials as well as additional training materials from CTS, and of course plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits to keep you going.
Does a Transport Manager need a CPC?
Yes. To become a Transport Manager and to hold an Operator’s Licence, you need the professional qualification that is the Transport Manager CPC. The qualification doesn’t expire however you should refresh your knowledge at least every 5 years with a 2-day Transport Manager Refresher.
Is the Transport Manager CPC hard?
The Transport Manager CPC is not an easy qualification. The syllabus covers a range of subjects, and there are two exams to pass before achieving the qualification. However, here at CTS Training & Consultancy, the course content is covered over 10 days so you have plenty of time to take on the information, there are practice tests and a whole 11th day entirely dedicated to revision.
